Cheshire Riding School are pleased to welcome clients back on a limited basis and are now taking bookings for lessons in a phased and restricted way that conforms with national guidelines, to protect clients and our staff. Lessons and Hacks are available now 7 days a week, just ring 01606 892111 to book a lesson or hack.

The following risk assessed approach and criteria will be strictly followed:

All customers must pre-book lessons or hacks by phone before arriving. All lessons & hacks must be paid for when booking by card. Future bookings can also be paid on site by card when you attend, preferably contactless. We will only take bookings from clients who are fit and well and non-symptomatic. At present, we are only able to offer private lessons, hacks and semi-private lessons and hacks for members of the same household. We do not plan to offer group lessons until it is safe to do so, we await further guidance in when these can restart.

We can only accept bookings from competent riders who can check their own girths/stirrups and mount independently for their lesson/hack. Staff will wash/disinfect tack before they return horses to their stables at end of each lesson/hack.

Should your situation change between booking a lesson and the lesson day we will accept cancellations with no fee providing we have a minimum of 24 hours notice. All riders should wear their own hats/clean gloves and must make use of our sanitising facilities upon arrival. If boots are required, they must be disinfected after use. Only one spectator per lesson will be permitted.

Our large Outdoor Arena spaces will be used for maximum ventilation and to maintain social distancing and all lesson/hack times and movements will be strictly coordinated.

Clients are asked not to arrive at the stables more than 10 minutes before their lesson time, and after booking in and after the lesson, to use our new signed outdoor access route between arenas and carpark and depart following their lesson/hack. All lessons/hacks will be strictly risk assessed and kept within rider’s competence, we will not be offering jump lessons or lunge lessons at this time.

To start with, we will not be offering lead rein lessons and when we do, parents will be required to lead, with guidance given.

By booking a lesson you have acknowledged that you have read and accepted these conditions. We hope customers understand that we will be extremely cautious as it is critical to conform to government guidelines, to do our utmost to prevent the spread of Covid -19 and to be alert, protect the NHS and save lives.
