Perfect opportunity for those who want to take back the reins and get back to riding.
New group starting 8th June.
As a pony-mad child growing up did you dream of riding in the Olympics?
Was that many years ago and life has passed you by? have you often wanted to get back in the saddle, but haven’t found the time? Well now is your chance.
Here at Cheshire riding school we can now offer you a chance to get back in the saddle and take back the reins. We are launching a brand new initiative that’s perfect for lapsed riders like yourself. The British Equestrian Federation’s Take Back the Reins scheme was started especially for people who have some riding experience, but who have been out of the saddle for some time. The Take Back the Reins scheme is now being encouraged across the country, to increase participation in riding. Accredited riding schools sign up to offer courses especially designed to help former riders get back to their horse riding roots and regain their skills, and their confidence. Here at CRS all our staff are BHS qualified, have a good sense of humour which we hope will help to make refreshing your skills and regaining your confidence a lot easier and much more fun. The scheme aims to help riders meet new friends and form a new social group.
…So, what is it?
Take Back The Reins is a structured series of horse riding lessons that provides coaching specifically designed to support a rider’s first steps back into the saddle. Here at CRS you will receive a warm welcome from our Take Back The Reins staff who will understand your worries, talk through your goals and match you with the right horse to get your time back in the saddle safely under way.
Together you will develop your horse riding skills so that you can walk, trot and canter, depending upon your skill and confidence levels. Alongside this you will improve your fitness, and progress within the sport, making sure you have fun along the way.
Horse riding is a hobby for people of all ages and abilities so there’s no need to use the excuse “I’m too old!” or “I’m not good enough”. If you are below our weight restriction of 13 stone but feeling out of shape, it’s worth knowing that riding is a gentle way of getting exercise, fresh air and having fun. It will strengthen your core muscles and tone your bum, tum, legs and arms. Horse riding can provide a fun cardiovascular workout too, so it can be a useful addition to your exercise routine.Take Back the Reins will not only help with your riding skills but will give you the opportunity to socialise and make new friendships as you all support each other to reach your goals.
We look forward to welcoming you soon to help you get back to Taking Back the Reins!
