A warm welcome awaits you and your children here at Cheshire riding school, with the school summer holidays fast approaching they will not be short of horsey fun.
We have put together our summer activities, for a jam-packed holiday calendar filled with fun and games. For everyone We have catered for all levels of riders. Every child will receive tuition to help improve their riding abilities
We hope that you will find something to add that little bit of pony fun to your school holidays.
Our pony camp is perfect if your child loves horses, and wants to develop their riding ability while having lots of fun and making new friend’s .They will benefit from our dedicated pony camp coaches, who love all the fun that camp has to offer just as much as the kids.
instructors are experienced in teaching and competing in a variety of disciplines, which we hope will make camp not only educating but extremely good fun. Our camp offers a program that is designed to suit various levels of interests and abilities.
During their stay children will benefit from badge training, riding, competitions and socialising with other pony mad kids! Pony camp will ensure that your child learns in a safe, fun, and supportive environment,
. Your child will experience camping under the stars and will be supervised by at least two camp leaders at all times. Our camp leaders are BHS qualified instructors who are up to first aiders, DBS checked and have attended a safe guarding course.
What to Expect from pony Camp
Pony camp is based on improving your child’s stable management and riding skills over fun packed two days. Pony camp is perfect for those who want to learn and improve a variety of horsey skills, have fun and meet new friends. All children will be supported to learn at their own pace and become more confident on and around the horses.
The most important thing to remember about our pony camp is that your child does not need to have had extensive riding background. It is a wonderful environment for them to explore their passions, learn new skills, become more confident in a supportive setting.

All of our staff members are highly experienced and qualified and they are all motivated to ensure that your child has the most rewarding and memorable pony camp possible.
Camp in the secret garden
Minimum age for staying over is 7, however our younger members can still join in all the fun during the two days, however they must go home in the evening. All food, drinks and snacks are included along with a tent! Campers will be split in to groups according to ability, to ensure they get the best from their camp experience.
Summer Pony Camp starts on Monday 31st July at 10 am and will run until Wednesday 2nd August 3 pm. when you can pick up your children
Cross Country Hacks with Suzie
Our cross country jumping hacks with Suzie are guaranteed to be a fun packed hour. The sessions take in the sights of Cheshire Riding School, including the woods where you will take lift off over our logs, followed by a paddle in the stream so the splashing continues from the woods down to potato bridge.
If that wasn’t enough fun there is also our canter hill, gallop up the field and the jumps around the farm ride to look forward to. The jumps vary in size and are all optional, so there is a challenge to suit all. Suzie is a qualified instructor so will offer tuition along the way, to help riders improve their riding technique and build confidence. These rides have proved very popular in the past and tend to book up very quickly.
Bookings are now being taken for dates, with full payment required in order to confirm your space.
This session is aimed at riders who are competent at cantering and jumping, and enjoy going a little bit faster! Body protectors must be worn, along with a non-fixed peaked hat and sleeves.
Friday the 4th and Friday 18th of August at 1 pm.

we have put together an afternoon for our younger children so they can enjoy some pony pampering with Elle and our carefully selected ponies on 7th August from 1 -3.30 pm.
There afternoon will be spent riding, grooming and making a big fuss out of There favourite pony!! The aim of this day is to help our little ones become more confident around the ponies whilst leaning about how to look after and care for them. Minimum age is 4 years old.
Come and join in the fun… it’s not about how much they know or don’t know, if you are able ride or not. Our Pony Days are filled with lots of fun things to do, we also teach the children about the day to day care that come with owning a pony.
Pony days . Will run on Wednesdays 9th & 23rd August from 10 – 3 pm and will include, riding, grooming, bathing along with quizzes and games. This day is fun for all levels and is open to children from age 4.Our team of enthusiastic and qualified staff make the day fun and educational.
Kids Hack with Jane – Thursday 10th August 2.30 pm. The hack will take place around our farm ride and is open to all our riders who can canter.
Unicorn and Fairy this is a themed pony day and will run on Wednesday 16th August.
This day will be full of glitter and glam and will get your child’s imagination working, on how to make there favourite pony into a magical unicorn, or a fairy this is truly magical for all those attending including our ponies.
We will also be have riding, games and crafts and most of all FUN.
How our Unicorn and Fairy Day works
Arrival time for your Unicorn Party Day is at 10 am for meet and greet all your fellow glitter loving friends where you will meet your party organiser SUZIE!
We will all start off by making our ponies very special unicorn horns or your fairy wings before getting out the, glitter and brushes to make your pony SPARKLE!!
After lunch will have lots of fun time with party games and cheering, both on and off your pony!
We will have races, pin the horn on the unicorn and of course a piñata to be enjoyed by all.
What you need to bring
Children should come dressed for riding in clothes suitable for the weather. A packed lunch is required along with any other snack your little one loves.
Spaces for the day are limited, with all children supervised at all times. Advanced booking and payment is required in order to secure your space. Minimum age is 4 years old with basic riding experience – lead reins welcome. Contact reception on 01606 892111 for more information or to book.
