Enjoy Horse Riding Lessons INDOOR or the experience of Horse Riding Outdoors in the heart of the Cheshire countryside on our Superb ALL WEATHER SURFACE FARM RIDE on our 130 acres of beautiful farm land, river valley, woods, hill tops.
Don't worry about the weather, most riding lessons are held in our superb INDOOR ARENAS with spectator Galleries and Cafe facilities for spectators.
We offer you lessons or Hacks, 7 days a week, on carefully selected horses and ponies providing a range of sizes, types and temperaments to suit all, from total beginners to the more experienced rider.
All riders are accompanied on Hacks by an experienced guide who will help you enjoy to the full, the pleasures of horse riding in magnificent scenery on an ALL WEATHER Farm Ride.
Cheshire Riding School is fully approved by the British Horse Society (BHS), Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) and by the Pony Club as a Pony Club Riding Centre. It is also a BHS approved Livery Yard and BHS Approved "Facility Centre" including the all weather surface Farm Ride, cross country course and show facilities.
Our qualified instructors are available to give lessons to any person 4 years old and upwards, for riders of all abilities, including Dressage, Show jumping and Cross country disciplines. All riders are subject to assessment, weight limit is around 14 stone depending on ability. We offer a range of lesson types as follows;
Group Lessons, both Adults and Childrens (up to 8 riders)
Mini-Group Lessons, both Adults and Childrens (up to 4 riders)
Semi-Private Lessons (2/3 riders)
Private Lessons
Beginners Lessons (up to 6 riders)
The Centre is open 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm weekdays and 9am to 5.30pm weekends
We also cater for various riding related parties, School Riding Days and Functions, Group Bookings and Corporate Business Days, these can combine riding with team building meetings/activities. We have a large heated, carpetted and comfortable Lecture room which is available for all types of parties, events, meetings, lectures etc
We particularly specialise in BIRTHDAY PARTIES of up to 20 riders per party, for Childrens Parties or for Adults as well and we have a large PARTY ROOM (can hold up to 100) which can be used before and after riding parties/events, and our CAFE is able to provide full catering for Parties and Events too. We have our own Tack Shop and Saddlery offering riding gear, saddlery making and repairs, located in our 500 year old Medeaval Barn and our new Equestrian CAFE is NOW OPEN, we also offer hot and cold drinks and snacks at times when Cafe is closed.
We also offer a variety of BHS/ABRS courses including stages and NVQ training

Do you want the benefits of being a college student but want the experience of working on a real yard? Cheshire Riding School are a satellite centre for Manchester College for NVQ and BHS Qualifications up to BHS Stage 3. There are no college fees for 16-18 year olds or under 25s without previous HE/FE qualifications and some mature students may also qualify for exemption. Comfortable farm house accommodation is also available ON SITE. NEWS......During the summer, both BBC and ITV Television visited Cheshire riding School!
Cheshire Riding School again passed its very thorough annual Licensing Inspection with flying colours yet again. In fact the Inspection Team report states,.."A very professionally run establishment which is a model for other riding schools, the management continues to strive to achieve maximum, safe and quality service for its customers".

The BBC visited CRS, and filmed ALL DAY for Children’s BBC TV programme “Do Something Different” which was screened on CBBC on BBC 2 with Presenters Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes formerly of Pop Idol, six of our customers were selected to take part. ITV attended a week later with presenter Caroline Hacking and this was screened in late August on Granada news, both visits received a lot of press attention. A display of behind the scenes/camera pictures can be viewed in our CAFE.
