British Horse Society CPD training day
Thursday 19th November.
We will be hosting the British Horse Society North West CPD training day. The day will be presented by all types of clips British Dressage list 1 judge, Chief examiner for the British horse society. The training day will count as CPD for the BHS register of instructors, or ten hours of teaching for those completing PTT log books.
The day will consist of both theory and practical training sessions, with a focus on stage two and three riders, with exercises to improve both horse and rider. We will be providing suitable horses and riders, both at and beyond the level, so that comparisons can be made for each exercise. The day will be extremely valuable for those training students towards British Horse Society exams and Jenny will be available to answer questions relating to the examinations structure.
The day will then progress to working on increasing horse and rider suppleness, both on the flat and over poles. Jenny will be using lateral work and other suitable exercises to fulfil this part of the day. Jenny being a British Dressage judge and riding at Grand Prix is experienced at training horses and riders through the British Dressage levels, so will be providing us with up to date and valuable information and exercises.
The day will commence at 9.30 am and will run throughout the day. The sessions will mainly be held in the indoor arena so suitable warm clothing will need to be worn. Tea and coffee will be available but a pack lunch will be required.
The cost of the day is £30 for BHS registered instructors £35 for all others wanting to attend the day.
All bookings to be taken directly through Hannah Carrick BHS North West development officer. Hannah can be contacted on 07720 404398 or email email@example.com
